stop church to pray

I serve a church as well as the local fire ems team.  This morning, in the middle of my sermon, my pager went off.  Of course I couldn't respond (and wasn't needed) but I stopped the sermon and we prayed for the crew that was headed out.  We also do this whenever we hear a siren.  I'm just wondering if others do this sort of thing.

I do - but it doesn't happen often. My pager is on vibrate mode, and when I'm at church I don't respond. If emergency vehicles of any kind go past the church with lights and sirens on - I do a corporate prayer for those responding and those that are in need.

I listen to my online scanner - I stop what ever I am doing at that moment and pray for the teams responding.

Excellent idea. I personally do this but don't know anyone else that does.
