Or am I alone my hubby Dave is a VFF. For a little over a year now. We have been married for 4 years
and have 2 kids a 3year old boy & a 2 year old girl. And yes there are alot of things about him being a VFF that I hate. But in the end I am very proud of him.
But if anyone else out there is a VFF Wife let me know how you live with it!

No your not alone. There are many VFF wifes out there. My husband has been a VFF for over 5 years now. But I've only been a VFF wife for over 4 years. I was with my husband when he started his fire training and I wasn't very trilled about it but it's what he wanted. Since then I am not only a VFF wife I am also a VFF right next to my husband.
My husband and I have been married for 9 years now. He has been the Assistant Chief of his volunteer department for over 15 years now. We also have a 6 year old daughter so I know what you are going through. In addition to being a volunteer, he is also a career firefighter so there is a lot of the time where our entire lives seem to revolve around the fire department. But, as you said, as much as I don't like many of the aspects, I am definitely proud of him and his accomplishments too.

Anything that I could encourage you on I would be glad to.
I am trying to figure out how to connect with the other VFF wives here in my home town.
We all get together at Christmas and thats about it. And you know everyone has there own groups of friends and as a newbie I feel a little lost. Any ideas? There is no ladies aux. I already asked chief. Basicly when I asked how I could get involved they told me "Your either a firefighter or not". and that was the end of the discussion.
dont feel bad my husband is a vff and i hate it too but i am proud of him
