What kind of gear do u wear on extrication calls? A few years back we got extrication coveralls. A few of the guys wear the coveralls all the time. I myself like to wear my turnout gear (with the vest).

Turnout's, extrication gloves, helmet, and safety glasses sometimes it sucks in the summer but what do huh.
No matter how many years you have done it it all comes down to safety, all of us have been there done that and will do it over again just be safe in what you do.Not all call are the same as the last one so choose wisely.......
My crews ride in 2-piece Morning Pride Extrication/USAR ensemble with the Warrington-Pro TR/USAR 6006.
This gear is a twenty-year investment. It is more expensive than most coveralls but does more work. If you guys only do extrication i would say stick with the coveralls. Beyond that, I would say go with Morning Pride or you could check out Ricochets new two-piece that has the vest in a quick deployable pocket at the top of the neck...actually pretty cool...tried that gear on and was impressed. In terms of boots...there is no EQUAL!

They're not the greatest photos, but ours are the one piece coveralls.
Before the days of Safety Nazi's and Government Mandates how many incidents were handled in jeans and 3/4's? A line and some nozzle control goes a LONG way, even today. And I agree,if they aren't burning when you pull up,they probably aren't going to.
