I got the following message through my day job,
As part of the re-opening of the Poughkeepsie Railroad Bridge as a
pedestrian walkway, the Walkway over the Hudson, there is an effort to
organize a recognition of the efforts of firemen. In 1974 the bridge caught
fire and there is a movement to have an event to honor those firefighters
who were on the bridge that day.
A local firefighter is pulling this together and would appreciate help
getting the word out, there's a flyer attached. He's looking for firemen
that served on that day or for firemen interested in helping with the
event.
