Everyone, it seems things are slowing down a bit in the group here. Guess those who are trainers are getting busy with putting a program together for the new year. Finding out what areas are required to be covered off for 2009.

I was asked by the fire chief if I would take care the the training program for the Vol. Firefighters. I am looking for some new and exciting things to get all the firefighters involved in training any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Christina, the first place to go is the fire department it's self. Check with the fire chief or any member of the department and ask them how to go about it. Each department is different and has different requirements. If they have a training night, I suggest that you show up as a observior and by being there you can ask questions. And by being there it shows your interested. Good Luck!

hi my name is christina and i was wondering what type of fire fighter stuff do i need to know to join a vol. fire dept where i live. im not a fire fighter yet just had a chance to see how it would feel to be a fire fighter and i think i want to join. please help me with this so i know what to do when i go up there to get an app/
