My portable is a MACOM P5100, my pager is a Motorola Minitor v. I love both of them.
Pagers Mintor 4 , I have two potables Motorola 1250 and a Kenwood TK350. My mobile is a Motorla 1550. FYI for long term Motorla 1550 all have the same prolem. a board goes out and you can not turn it off or sometimes on. You can buy a new radio cheaper than having it repaired. We have several that went out like that.
Using a motorola minitor V, with my trusty old IV in the living room. My car has a Kenwood TK-880 (UHF) with a TK-6110 low-band in the back for county. Most of the different bands we use have cross-band repeaters that work well, so every band can be accessed from the single UHF. My mobile is a TK-380, FDNY radio strap and heavy duty speaker mic. I swear by it. The trucks all have different radios in them, but they all have a lo-band, VHF, and UHF radio in each. Same for the command vehicles. We also have a CB radio in the rescue, which is first due on the Interstate, and will have one in the new Traffic Management Unit. Works great to communicate with truckers and keep traffic moving (or stop it if that is what you so desire). Orange County also has an E-911 text messaging system which we use. Finally we use a service called IAmResponding.com which allows a member to hit a speed dial button on their cell phone and put it down, it disconnects after about 10 seconds, and identifies on screens at the station that they are en route. Only our officers call out on the air, and it is terrific for knowing who is coming and as an officer deciding when to respond apparatus. Feel free to check it out:

We use Minito IV pagers and the Bendix King Digital Handhelds. I have never ran into a problem with either of them. my radio has seen more water than an oceanic cruise liner and it hasnt quit on me yet.
I dont have a anytype of mobile or portable radios but My officers have kenwood mobiles and motorola "highband" Portables, I have a highband Motorola Minitor VI, I personally dont like them

We are issued Minitor V's. and the officer's are issued 16 channel MT1250's. We primarily operate on repeated UHF.
