jr's/ explorers what ever ur dept calls them they need to be there, cause who else will roll the hose? lol haha just kidding but our dept gives them pagers, but they are not allowed to have blue lights in their POV let alone run one and they have to go to the station and if they are going to run into the scene they must take a different route if possible or just keep going to the station and they are not allowed to get on the 1st due out peice. and once on scene they report DIRECTLY to the oic and stay by his side and does only what he says.

thay all got to start somewhere let them have pagers and let them get dirty with in reason's as long as thay stay safe but NO INTEROR FF.

where i stared out at they had cadets and we were not allowed to have pagers untill we were 18 but you had to be 16 to go to grass fires and you had to go to the station but every one must do that we were not allowed to go pov i dont think that they should have pagers just because they do not have the certs or the experince that the older guys do at the time i thought the same thing as most jrs do that we should have them but now i do not think that they should because they dont know what all they need to know. i dont know what kind of calls you all get but if you have grass fires let them go but they must ride in the truck or walk that is what i had to do and i learned alot that way. where i am at now we dont even have jrs so feel lucky that you have what you have and be happy with it you will be able to go soon enough. be safe and have fun
