the procedure is the dept writes us a letter asking for assistance. Make sure the letter has all the information about the dept and is signed by a person of authority. We constantly get gear so that is not a problem. However, you first need to apply, we never contact a dept first.

I Am a captain with a small department . . The gear we have now is old and worn out. We have15 firefighters without gear and we need some help so we can try to get these firefighters in some gear so they can fight fires the only problem is we dont have the funds to get any gear at all we have filed for grants had fundraisers and no luck a friend on ffn told me t contact you guys to see if mabie you all can help us out if you all have any ha gear ,pagers ,helments or any firefighting equment, scbas rit gear tools any thing and want to donate it to us please contact me at tiny2406@aol.com or you can give me a call at 423-314-1201 we have also tried grants and there is no luck if we cant get help we raised some money to up grade our truck from a 1962 dodge fire pumper to a 1982 eone pumper but the people we bought it from didnt tell us that every brass bushig for the pump controles and valves were busted and now were back to square one 2 trucks that an not fight fire were running off a 1979 gmc 1500 gallon tanker so if you can please help us out and thanks for the concern god bless and stay safe thanks chris

The Terry Farrell Fund has been a great organization to assist all fire departments across the country. Brian and Tim have done a wonderful job for the northern NY area by supplying different departments with needed equipment.
