We've had some interesting discussions at the unit over the last week or two in relation to the use of the rooftop safety systems while operatinf chainsaws.
Many mixed feelings, with the majority saying they don't like to be restrained or attahced to anything while operating a saw as it may hamper a quick egress from a sticky situation.
Curious what others think.
I also have concerns that we have State legislation in place that says we only need to use a system if working within 2 metres of an unprotected edge, however VICSES are specifying that it's used at all times. Is it taken too far when we exceed State Legislation?
