Thanks for inviting me. Since moving to CA I haven't even been near a slope or snow for that matter and I miss it terribly.

I got my first pair of skis at age 4 and have been a life-long addict.

No I haven't done the fire race, I did the medical race one year and outskiied my partner and ended up falling. It was fun, but I don't want to be tethered to another skier again.

I grew up on LI but never skied. Visited the Catskills in the summer but not the winter. Have you ever done the Firefighter Ski Races thing at Hunter?

How far are you from Belleayre?

I'm lucky that way. I have a 30 minute drive to 3 ski areas with a season pass to Hunter Mt. I too am a late bloomer for skiing. Started in 2000, and fell in love with the sport.

Welcome aboard!

It's because it's such an event for us. It takes big plans for us to go skiing. Can't just jump in the truck for a weekend and run up to the slope.

Who would of thought that a Firefighter from Florida would start a skiing group. But thats whats so great about the sport.

I have only been skiing since 2002 and have fell in love with it.

Been to Park City, Deer Valley, The Canyons, Alta, Snowbird, Whistler, Breckenridge, Copper, Keystone, Squaw, Alpine Meadows, Northstar, Winter Park, Steamboat and am heading to Jackson Hole in March.

My favorite is the Park City area. In fact I like it so much I have set up the first annual fire fighter ski trip there at The Canyons. Check out www.firefighterskitrip.com.
