I am developing a program where responders record their own hours so the leadership can review and acknowledge each responder's commitment and service to our department. I anticipate there will be some hesitancy from members who have either switched jobs or are just in the "too busy" phase inherent in the cycle of volunteerism. However, I am hoping that once we start doing this that it will be a great way to beef up our annual banquet and rally enthusiasm (within the department and within our community) for a job we all love.
