We are a vol dept in upstate NY. We have 50 members, 2 Engines, Heavy and Light Rescue, and 1 Tanker. We cover about 16 sq miles including part of 2 townships and a village.
We run around 300 calls a yr ( EMS and Fire). Our EMS is a First Response, we don't transport ( transport by paid Ambulance company). We have 6 EMT-D, 2 EMT-cc and 2 Paramedics. We also have 10 interior FFs.
Fortunately even though we are a small crew, our training per year as a dept runs around 3500 hrs and we have Equipment and apparatus that is up-to-date.
