So in this day and age of budget cuts, how has your department responded to the needs in the training division? For many I have found that the admin for most places immediately attack the training budget making next to impossible to obtain outside training. Many firefighters I know are now having to resort to doing the "bare minimum" training to meet departmental standards. Many aren't making the required 200 hour minimum to meet IFSAC standards. What have you experienced and what have you put in place to assist with getting quality training on a budget?
