Does any one celebrate Dyngus Day?  We are celebrating our second annual Dyngus Day this year.  The event is organized by a Schenectady City FF who of course is polish.  Its held at a tavern in Rotterdam.  For those of you who are not familiar with Dyngus Day it is held on the Monday after Easter. In Poland and parts of the US Easter Monday is called Dyngus Day, meaning "Wet Monday", referring to traditional pranks involving water.  Legend is the girls would chase after the boys with pussy willow switches and hitting them and the boys would chase the girls with water.  If anyone else celebrates this day please let us know.
