I always carry at least a dozen patches when ever I travel. Stop at any dept and it's usually coffee time and a skull session before the trades are done. Some even throw in a t-shirt. I find the stations away from the larger cities are more "fun" to stop in. They usually don't get visitors and are glad to see you.

I trade/collect patches, but I've the best way to do so, is simply by going to the different departments with your patches ready to trade....they're more willing to swap out if you already have the trade there! I've been collecting for years for my parents, and now that I'm on the department it is so much more worth it! :)
