Well my nickname is num nuts,this was given to me when i was a junior and kept on getting hurt .My dept. still calls me that to this day

they call me 5801 1/2(fifty eight oh one in a half) because my dad is the chief and his badge number is 5801 so they say im half of him so thats y lol

I personally don't have a nickname (yet), but I thought I'd share some of the ones from my station. We have:
Shrek - he is a big ogre
Radio - like the guy from the movie "Radio"
Harvey - just his last name
Umpa - cuz he reminds us of an Umpa Lumpa
Little Guy - Cuz he is short...
Coach - our very wise chief
Captain Crunch - it was said about or Capt. once, and it just kinda stuck
Beach Cruiser - not too sure
G-Millz - ?
Snorkels - someone couldn't pronounce her last name
Cho - like the Korean performer lady
Mysterious Mike - i don't know how that started
Magnum P.I. - he wore a Hawaiian shirt to drill once, and it stuck.

So yes, we have some strange nicknames....but I love my guys!

well my origonal one was sledgehammer due to a firefighting competiton my FF class at school went on and i was one of the best on that particulay part but i mentioned it to some of the guys up at the station and one of the guys say you to small to be a sledge hammer your more of a catspaw so well there ya go apparently unless something else comes up or i get bigger than catspaw has stuck haha so... as my capt. says "leave your emotions in the truck cuz as soon as you walk though that door your free game."

They Call me Big Bird, it started at the Fire Academy Because I'm one of the few in the dept with the bright yellow gear, everyone else has the newer khaki colored gear

ok.. so i acutally got my nickname before i was even in the fire department... my parents are firefighters and i would go to meeting, training and calls with them... none of the firefighters in the other departments around mine knew my name... since i am only 4' 11" everyone started calling me Little Bit... this happened about 3 or 4 years ago and still to this day noone knows my real name.. just Little Bit

Right now mine is Junior, and it's getting a little annoying. I'm proud that this is part of my legal name, but when you are in a few years and people think that you are a Jr. Firefighter, that doesn't sit well. Other then that I really don't have one, at least not that I know of.
