MDEMSP and NAEMT also known as The National Association of Emergency
Medical Technician's has signed an Affiliation Agreement. In this agreement the
terms are addressed below.
The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, Inc., herein after
referred to as “NAEMT” and the Maryland Emergency Medical Service Program
herein after referred to as “MDEMSP” desire to establish a formal relationship and
hereby agree to the following terms and conditions:

to the following terms and conditions:
1. MDEMSP
a. shall be a recognized affiliate of NAEMT upon adoption of this Agreement;
b. shall have a seat on the NAEMT Affiliate Advisory Council;
c. shall send its representative, who shall be an active member of NAEMT, to the NAEMT
annual meeting at no cost to NAEMT;
d. shall regularly provide information to NAEMT on the major activities being undertaken by
MDEMSP and on issues of concern being considered and/or addressed by the EMS community
in the area in which it operates;
e. shall actively offer NAEMT membership to its members;
f. shall promote NAEMT membership at conferences or meetings at which it is represented;
g. shall notify NAEMT of any changes in its leadership, representative, or contact information;
h. shall disseminate to its members updates from NAEMT on NAEMT activities, issues of
concern to the EMS community, and pending federal legislation related to EMS;
i. shall display its affiliation with NAEMT in its publications and on its website;
j. shall provide a hyperlink on its website to the website of NAEMT.
2. NAEMT
a. shall formally recognize MDEMSP as an affiliated association upon adoption of this
Agreement;
b. shall seat a representative of MDEMSP on the NAEMT Affiliate Advisory Council;
c. shall regularly provide information to MDEMSP on the major activities being undertaken by
NAEMT and on issues of concern being considered and/or addressed by the EMS community
nation-wide;
d. shall provide regular updates to MDEMSP on pending federal legislation impacting EMS
providers and NAEMT’s position on such legislation; More information
