FIREFIGHTER/EMT

The City of Bangor is accepting applications to establish and maintain an eligibility list for the position of Firefighter/ EMT. This list will be used to fill current and future openings at the Bangor Fire Department. Applicants must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, be in good physical condition, and have a high school diploma or equivalency.

Applicants must also have firefighting experience and a current basic Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license. Candidates will be required to take a written exam and, if selected to continue in the selection process, will have to complete a physical assessment test.

Applications required (resumes optional) and will be accepted at the Human Resources Office, Bangor City Hall, 73 Harlow Street, Bangor, ME 04401. Applications are available on-line at www.bangormaine.gov or you may send a self-addressed stamped envelope to the above address.
