Hey guys we are finishing up our Basic RIT class throughout the County. We will be focusing on a Firefighter self survival class, as well as Advanced RIT operations, A large area search class. Other topics we are currently doing Firefighter I-II, Fire Instructor I and II. On the EMS side of things we are trying to put togeather a "Working the Big Rigs" class. These are just a few of the topics in the future.
i would like to get fire instructor I and II also i would like to see train car rescue.
Mike you are in luck we are going to host an Instructor I-II class soon. My guys took a class rescently hosted by the Railroad on emergency involving the trains. It was a good class! We can maybe get it for Festus for you guys. I have the hook up and it is free, however you need to see how many students you can get.
we had that class with r-7 i think. i was wanting a class on more of stabilization of heavy equipment with trains and some rescue
For the most part we trained on things like Railroad tracks and misc hazards. We learned that instead of moving the trains you have to dismantle or dig under them for the most part for any type of rescue.
Steve,
What days you are planning on having the Fire Instructor 1 and 2 class
We have some tenative dates this summer I will let you know.
