Portland Airport Fire & Rescue, Portland, OR. We are IAFF, local 43, same as the City of Portland. Great having union backing... on the down side some people have union backing. Better benefits, pay, and work conditions. I hate the politics that the unions get involved in but on the flip side I suppose we need them to support. I would hate to work for an at will department with nothing stopping you from losing your job. All in all, everything has its ups and downs... but better to be protected.
