Did you know that less than one percent of all firefighters in North America have any training in rescuing large animals?

According to experts, the most critical safety issue at the scene of a large animal incident is the responders' lack of knowledge of, and experience around, large animals.

As well as being an EMT, I'm an author and horse safety specialist. I'm starting a discussion about large animals in particular, and all animals in general, to help make animal-related incidents safer for responders.
