Let me start by saying Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. I hope everyone is staying safe out there.

I'm on the Dive Rescue Team in Larimer County and I've been an explorer with the Poudre Fire Authority in Fort Collins for almost two years now. I would be in PFA's volunteer academy this summer but I will be moving to the Daytona Beach area next fall for college. Does anyone know any volunteer emergency operations programs within driving distance? Fire, Dive, SAR, EMT Reserves, etc? Thanks!

going to the academy is tough and you need to keep up all your muscular endurance. Do alot of core work and run. no matter what shape you think you are in the fire service is a whole new animal that will let you know how out of shape you really are...... good luck
