We've been pretty luck so far; we (Lee County) just had a cold front come through and gave us about 1.5" average the other day, bringing us down to 570-something on the drought index. We'll be back up to 650 in no time, though...
I've seen some pretty big perscribed burns in bordering Charlotte and Hendry counties over the past few weeks, which I'm sure are helping out. I'm VERY surprised that we've been limited to only 2 or 3 strike team or mutual aid fires...
