Would like to find out what other departments are now doing with the omega responses on the v 12 EMD. Especially with the 26 card. We have a three tier system, and are still trying to figure out what response level we will use. Probably go to BLS non emergent only medical responder on these calls, but trying to get some input from other organizations to forward to our medical director and also bounce around with other local dispatch supervisors. Thanks for any responses or any discussions. Kevin Well we have now gone to using the omega responses as only medical responders with a BLS response only. We advise the caller that the unit will be there within an hour or less. If we do not make the hour response, we have an assessment against us for the response. This is a new area to tread on. It will be interesting to see how it pans out. We have also just got all EMD's advances certified and are now following the ASA protocol on all chest pain calls. Has been very successful.
