What camera do you use? Personal or department's? Make and model?

I use my personal camera, a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT with a 18-55 mm lens, a 35-80 mm lens and a 75-300 mm lens.
Hey I use that same exact camera!! I love it! I haven't gotten any lenses for it but my department might be paying for that!
I absolutely LOVE my camera. It's been dependable in all sorts of situations and thus far, rugged enough for the abuse I heap upon it out on scene. With a tiny little 1GB compact flash card it stores well over 1,000 pics at full resolution and the battery stays well charged for quite some time.

Do you use your camera on manual or auto focus? I find that when things get moving quickly I tend to opt for auto just because it's quicker... So if you're getting new lenses, the last I checked, 300mm was as large as Canon made with still being able to go fully auto.
Don't know if this will affect our friendship or not, but I shoot a Nikon D200 with the 18-200mm 3.5-4.5 lens. I started with the 18-70 kit lens and bought the 55-200 lens later (and of course flash) but always seemed to have the wrong lens for the shot all the time. So the 18-200 covers the range I need, but of course, there are better lenses that I want. There will always be just one more accessory, lens, piece of software, or camera out there that would be just perfect. Of course, the most important part of any camera system is the person behind the lens.

Awesome camera! Just a bit rich for my pocketbook.. LOL!

So true! I find myself drooling everytime that I allow myself to browse the newest and latest cameras and accessories. ;-)

Agreed!
Canon EOS Rebel XT. Love my Canons. Looking to get an XTI next year. Also have a canon sure shot I carry in my pocket when I can carry my big bag.
Still working with my Canon 10D and grip. I have a 55-200mm Tamron, A 18-50mm Sigma, and a 50mm f/1.8 Canon. I run a Sigma flash and a few other accessories and am saving for a Canon 1D series body......
I used to shoot with a Canon Rebel, but the FD took that back. Now I shoot with a Canon SX5IS (high end P&S). I have found that I actually prefer the SX5 because of the flip out LCD; it's enabled me to get some unique angle shots. The only downside is that it eats batteries (4 AAs get about 170 shots).

I shoot with my personal cameras: Fuji FinePix S5100 10mp w/ 12x optical, Kodak EasyShare M530 12mp w/ 3x optical. If mine go dead on a scene or at a dept event at the station than I can use one of the dept's cameras.

I use a ge camera x500 16megapixel 15x zoom. take great picture.fast moving picture has 20 different  modes.at a great price.

Sounds like a nice unit.
