I am a complete amateur when it comes to photography, but the guys seem to like the pictures I take. Here are some of their favorites. Let me know what you think.

Nice shots. You did a good job capturing people and equipment. Just make sure you are only shooting when all your assigned duties are done. Looking forward to seeing more of your work - Janine
Thank you. I appreciate your comment. But I am the photographer for my company, so they permit me to shoot whatever and whenever I like to. I do, though, make sure that what needs to be getting done, is. But thank you again, and I'll be sure to post more pics as they come.

Side note- I have realized that I cannot take credit for every picture taken here. 3 pictures were taken by my chief, and 2 others by a fellow firefighter. (I was in the classes of which the pictures were being taken.) Sorry I didn't post this earlier, I just realized it. But I felt that it should be known that they have helped in my photography as well.
Glad to hear photography is your main job on scene. Photography is the only thing I do for our department. I didn't even think about the photogs who do double duty until I started looking at some of the forums here and on other sites. I am glad you gave credit for the pictures that weren't taken by you. If you go onto www.ning.com and login using your login and password from this site, you can find a bunch of sites devoted to fire photography.
I en joyed your pictures. Like you, I was the FD's photographer. I have some on my Page as well.

Nice job with the photos. I am the dept photographer and enjoy doing it. Firefighting runs in the family for me so I decided to go this route when asked and do not regret it.  I have some of my photos posted on my page.
