Issue with Electric Themostat

I was wondering is anyone out there having any issues with electric themostat manufactued bt PSG Controls Inc. Model PSG LVP 1 240HD. I recently had one catch fire and after speaking with the maintenance man he stated he had many malfunction.

I have heard of thermostats that have had issues but not sure if this one is one of them. Have you tried contacting the Consumer Product Safety Commission? www.cpsc.gov
