Hello all, my name is Eric Michael Ziegelhofer, a 27 year old volunteer firefighter/emt-b with 11 years experience in the service. At the end of this month, I will be entering the Fire Inspector One program sponsered by my local community college which oversees the public safety training center.

I have always been interested in the safety and enforcement of codes which is why I enrolled in the class. Not to toot any horn for myself, I am very big on continuing my education and have over 70 certifications in aspects of fire, EMS, and rescue work, I am also certified as an Instructor One with plans on continuing to become a suppression instructor as well. The course book listing includes the NFPA Life Safety Code (2009 Edition), the IFSTA fire inspection and code enforcement 7th edition with accompanying workbook or study guide, and the 2006 edition of the ICC's International Fire Code.

I am asking for help from the group for any magazines, further books to be read, particular articles from the fire service trade publications or from publications in the code enforcement and fire inspection services. Any websites that will aid me, any forms that you may use, any tactics or any tips or shortcuts you have picked up while doing your own jobs are. I know I am just beginning the class but I love to dive into things with my heart, mind, and soul involved. Any types of media that would be of any assistance to me either for now or later down the road would be of a greàt asset for me.
