Thats going to be difficult to be realistic finding a hi eagle leather helmet isnteasy, but isnt cheap either, There are guys around who could "make a frontpiece "of that style" if you even found a newerleather it would still becostly to "make" look old, as far as coats go, the closest I can think of is like one of those aussie drover canvas coats, as far as getting someone to taylor a red shirt with a BIB would be a nice touch .. There is a brother here from Chicagoland if I recall, lemme find him and hecan tell you how he did his version... Check outhis profile pic @ http://www.firefighternation.com/profile/MikeWheeler
Well, I've made a few leather fronts in my time, I know I wouldn't want to try to tackle a helmet without better tools then I have.... I would suggest for "looks" going on Ebay using Leather helmets, Cairns Leather helmets and any other search ideas you can think of to see what might be on there as far as pictures of antique HI eagle helmets there have been a few to get some photos and compare them to standard leathers of today the crown on these hadvarious comb comb configurations but all definately looked More like a an old fashion orange masher squeezer (which is something these days youmind not have a clue what it is...lol ) YouMight even find something reasonable enough to purchase which could be "manipulated" enough tolook the part Like a Cairns aluminum "senator" either way doa search on ebay as a start
