MY FIRST ONE WAS BIG BIRED FIREFIGHTER.WHEN I WORKED ON S.P.I.,TX MY FIRST DAY I DID NOT HAVE ANY GEAR.SOME OF THE GUYS HAD TO HUNT FOR GEAR.WHEN THEY CAME BACK THE HAD THAT OLD YELLOW STUFF.WHEN I PUT EVERYTHING ON ON OF THE GUYS SAID "DAM YOU LOOK LIKE BIG BIRD" SO THE NAME STUCK.MY SECOND ONE WAS TO SHOW MY IRISH SIDE AND WHAT I DO.BOTH WERE DONE BY A GUY NAMED RAUL AT PEGGY'S TATTOO SHOP ON SOUTH PADRE ISLAND,TX.

Actually, the rise of firefighter tattoos in the most recent Sep 11 tragedy of WTC, many Americans had this urge to get tattooed with the red, white and blue tattoos.
Many other firefighter tattoo designs were colored in the manner of national flags and filled with colors accordingly.
Many relatives and friends of firefighters have permanently tattooed their skin with the lost WTC building. -
