I am retired from a department where I was the only firefighter on the department. I day we added another femail but she did not make it out of training because she was looking for something else.
The fire chief had told his Captains and Asst. Chiefs that they better watch out for me because I was taking fire science in college. Everyone else had FF1 & 2. I had some of the guys try to cause problems but they failed. Boy talk about jealousy, I gain respect of rest of the crews and in 1984 I became Fire Fighter of the Year.
