Hello, I have been looking for the same thing. I haven't been able to find anything though. I have visited a few websites and looked at the 'borrds' you can purchase. I have made copies of them and am thinking about tring to make one for myself. The 2 most helpful one I have found are www.tactron.com and www.firecommand.org It isn't exactually what you are looking for but they have some samples of their product on keeping up with personell how to size up a scene, etc. I haven't spent much time on either site but there could be something there if you dig far enough. Hey, I just found a website that you will probably find helpful. It is fireengineering.com It has tips on how to read smoke, color of smoke, density of smoke, etc. Looks like it could be a start of what we are looking for. Stay Safe!!

Dave, I just read your request and would like to offer another solution to this problem. There is a computer program that will do this for you called ISO-Notes. This is a designed so that you can create your own check off sheets and then it allows you to record what you do on-scene as you follow your own check off sheet. It creates a short "One minute manager" style report of how things went on each call. Not only can you do this for fires but you can do it for every type of incident you respond to. It is designed to allow your department to create the check lists based upon your own rules, since no matter how hard we try there are still always some internal rules that are particular to your department. You can test this out on their website at www.fitnotesllc.com.

We have been using the Safety Officer Checklist from IMS Alliance and it has worked well for our department. It has been in service for about 3 years now and it is still in good shape. I would like to customize it a little bit for our department, but for a generic product it is pretty good.
