Hello all,

From what I can see and make out from the photograph, this appears to be a masonry constructed structure with modern extensions on side "A", "D", and "C", circa 1920-1930. Three stories with one of the stories being the basement with ground access from side "C" and side "D".

IAP: 1. initial fire attack and 360 size up to determine if this is one large house or back to back structures. 2. conduct search and rescue of the fire floor and below. 3.command to upgrade to a second alarm. 4. truck to ladder the fire floor and crews to the roof for ventilation. 5. RIT.

Construction type: Combustible construction with non-combustible load-bearing walls.

Hazards: Potential of a back to back structure, hill on side "D" restricts possibility of using ground ladders, electrical power line leading in to the fire room, older style house with modern extensions (what else has been added to the houses interior), weak floors due to age leaves possibility of floors collapse.

Risk Factors: Possibility of the structure being converted in to a multi-family rental unit, what utilities service the house- (oil-where is the tank located, exterior or interior). Older structure with potentially weaker flooring and roofing, possible tar roof could increase the risk of collapse.

Needed for Fire Suppression: 1 3/4 inch attack lines to the second floor from front and rear entrances, 1 3/4 line in to the fire room from the exterior, appears to be a city type setting...more than likely there will be a hydrant in the area to tie in to, search and rescue crews for the structure and adjoining structures, truck for the ventillation efforts, upgrade to a second alarm.

Where is the fire going: up and out and across the roof to consume the upper floors and contents, possibility of extension in to adjoining structures from holes in the fire walls.
