Myspace??

What do you guys think about getting the Fire Co. a Myspace.
Pros:
1. there are hundreds of fire co. with myspace's,
2. another way to advertise upcoming events/fundraisers,
3. inform public on who we are and what we do,
4. better than a website because its free,
5. Post training pics
6. keep in touch with Berks county Fire Co. etc.

I think it is a great idea but unfortunetly you will have people who are totally against myspace. It's worth a try . Just bring up all the pros to it.

Most definitely has to go through meeting. I would like to see a web site or something of the sort. Get all the facts about both a web site and a myspace and investigate the pros a cons of both and present it at meeting.
We had a web site a few years back and I am not quite sure why it was left go. Be prepared to answer some of what you might think are dumb questions from the dinosaurs that probably never even heard of myspace. You have my support for either or. I feel we are wasting a great resource by not being on the web.

Will do. Will personally i feel i passed my biggest road block by getting your approval, but the next will def. be the body. ill try to get everything by next meeting.

Tonight i talk to someone from the Township of Spring Vol. Fire Department. They were refering me to Firecompanies.com. I checked it out. It looks Really cool. Its an actual website that the admin. from the company pretty much sets up for us. check it out Asst. 29. Let me know what you think!

So far I have gotten info on just Firecompanies.com. I would mind having help though, that way it looks better at meeting having someone else present with me.

I've got your back! If you get the Info, I'll promote it for you. We can take my laptop upstairs for meeting to demonstrate or show the doubters what your looking to do via examples. Another good person to get in on this is Jason Tankred. He is very computer savy.
