I've recently started watching my daily calories and what I'm eating, so when I actually do drink a beer I try and make it something worth having. I'm a big fan of Guiness and I like a black and tan mix that I get here in Florida called 'Mississipi Mud'.

Recently, I tried out Blue Moon and was very pleasantly surprised by the citrus flavor. Anyway, look forward to chatting with some other folks about the finer qualities of well made beer.

Okay, I tried the Heineken Light at a wake today of all things and it was okay. I guess I was expecting the more hoppy taste of the full-on Heinie and it wasn't what I expected. I think this would be a good beer for hanging out by the pool, grilling some shrimp or doing something else light. I'll try a few more to make sure I wasn't being influenced by the meal, but not bad overall.
that's the good thing about Heini light. You still have that hoppy flavor, it's just not as over powering. Not that that's a bad thing, I just think it makes it easier to drink more. Good idea to have a few more and see how you like it.
I've never tried Heineken or Heineken Light, is it very carbonated? I haven't been handling beer with carbonation since I've been eating better. It really throws my stomach for a loop if I drink something like Bud Light or similar.
it's carbonated, but it's really smooth
Does Mississipi Mud still come in those large glass jugs? That's good stuff but I can't find it around here anymore. Guinness is hard to beat when it comes to stout. I was never a fan of Blue Moon or Belgian ales in general until abour a month ago as a wedding where they had a keg of the stuff. Needless to say, I did my part in killing it and can't get enough of it ever since. Besides it must be good for you, it's served with an orange slice so you get a serving of fruit with every pint!
Yeah, Mississipi Mud comes in BIG brown jugs. I can only find it in a few selsct places. I don't know if you have a store called "World Market" near you. It has furnishings, foods, coffees, and beer/wine from all over. You can even mix and match six packs!
