This afternoon September 29, 2007 at 1526 hours, Chief William Benecke received a call from the father of Firefighter Michael Reagan informing us that he had passed away as a result of injuries he suffered while fighting a fire on Wednesday, September 26, 2007.
Mike was an outstanding member of the Sharon Hill and Holmes Fire Companies. His dedication to serving his community as a fire fighter was an inspiration to all of us, and we are deeply saddened by his passing.
This is a sad day in the 101 year history of this company, but we will honor our fallen brother by continuing to serve the Borough of Sharon Hill as Mike would want us to do.
Michael's family has requested a Fireman's Funeral, with full company honors. We are in the planning stages at this time, but have no details as to time or place just yet.
