Yonkers Pizzeria Fire Spreads to Apartments, Displaces Occupants

YONKERS, N.Y. - Yonkers fire officials say 32 people have been displaced from their homes by a pizzeria grease fire that spread to the apartments above.

The fire at Angelo's Pizzeria on McLean Avenue broke out at 3 a.m. Thursday.

Residents of the 3-story building were evacuated. Two people complained of smoke inhalation.

The building's owner said he did not know how long it would be before residents could return to their apartments

The blaze was brought under control one hour later.
