Last week the WTC Tribute Center.
www.tributewtc.org celebrated it's 1,000,000 visitor and 100,000 walking tour. I was one of those 1 million. : )
If you are ever downtown stop by the tribute center next to the 10 house on Liberty St. It will move you in a way you never imagined. The Tribute Center helps inform and open the eyes of the public to see what happened that day and is currently taking place today. The tours, which are volunteers, are given by victims of 9/11.
Another notable project is Project Rebirth
www.projectrebirth.org. This is an amazing non-profit org. that takes pictures every 5 minutes of the construction of the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. The film will be shown in the museum when it is completed but you can see everyday footage today. The director of the project has also been filming the lives of 10 people who have struggled through the aftermath of 9/11 and are going through a healing process as they complete the Memorial. One of the lives is a Firefighter.
It's awesome what is happening at 9/11 Memorial and Museum site (Ground Zero) To take a look at the past, present, and future, go to
www.national911memorial.org
Accurate info about what takes place on site and in people lives who were affected by 9/11. It also keeps people up to date on the rebuilding of the site and people lives. As far as the construction; The pace picked up in January. Since the ramp was removed they have been working at an astonishingly fast rate. Take a look. Heart-warming and amazing.
