Would you work alongside a new firefighter if you knew he or she was a convicted felon?

Are you already working with a convicted felon?

How ironic.

I'm reading the latest posts to this discussion and I notice an ad on the right side promoting a web site where you can go to check your criminal record --- or someone else's.

Really???

I would but, I would have a difficult time with trusting that they were more interested in caseing the building. I believe that as firefighter were have an inherant trust from the public. We are allowed into peoples homes, businesses, autos, etc. This is there personal domain and they don't let just anyone into it.

People with felony convictions have a right to a job, yes.

I don't believe that the fire service is the right one though.
