idk just like see ppl doin crazy stuff and i no alot of ppl that do it
my dad was a volunteer at the same department im with now.ive always wanted to follow in his footsteps and help people.
Well one time in middle school in 6th grade they came in wearing their dress uniforms and they told us how cool and exciting it was and since then I always wanted to do it I must have been 10 maybe 11.
Well i was about 7 when i first thinked of it. But i am a jr. firefighter and i know now that this is my calling. I want to help people.
I was 14 yrs old and my dad was a firefighter so I started as jr fire fighter and worked my way up. I wanted to help people that could not help themslaves.
i love the brothood and i want to help poeple
im a st.louis explorer and i love it
well

i never really thought about it until i was 16
i grew up traveling and spinning fire since i was 5
maybe i dreamed about it when i was little cos i had a fire engine bed (it was so cool)
but when i was 16 i saw a fire down my street so i aked about joining
and yeah havent regretted it since.

so year i cant imagine doing anything different now
I am 16 and im a Jr firefighter, with my dad by my side as the Chief of the dept. I wanted to be a firefighter since i could remember. The reasons behind me wanting to be a firefighter were pretty much the same as my dads. One reason was the feeling of helping people out without expecting anything back in return (vol. dept) Another reason being ive grown up with the fire dept and it just seems so natural, waking up to the pager at 3 am running out the door to go to the station for a gas leak, car accident, or anything even something small. I am completely devoted to the fire dept and i want to be a firefighter until the day i am not able to preform my task of being a firefighter and helping people in need. I know it seems like im just running on about this but i just love helping people and people saying thanks is enough for me. I dont want to be called a "hero" because im not, its just my "job" and im proud to to it. -Benjamin-
my grandma was on ncr fire dept in ohio, then my mom got on a fire dept a emt and got her level 1.so that made me a 3rd generation firefighter. and ever since i was young i wanted to be an army firefighter.
My Grandfather, my Father & 7 of his brothers were all Volunteer Firefighters for the Morrinsville Volunteer Brigade in a small Rural town in New Zealand.
So all in all it must be in the blood, the family name has done approx 300 years service for the town, I am the only Lingard still in the service with 28 year volunteer service.
I've wanted to be a firefighter for as long as i can remember. I joined when i was 15 and another dept when I was 16. My dad would always take me to the firehouse when I was younger. I always loved playing on the trucks and when he would take in parades. I am the second generation firefighter...hopefully my kids will carry on the tradition as well.
