Quick show of hands, how many departments out there test their own hose and how many rely on outside vendors?

We test our own at our small, primarily vollie, department. Last night we tested our LDH(semi-annual testing), and a coupling failed. 4" @ 250 psi can make quite a wet spot! No body got hurt, but the potential is always there.

So, test it yourself, or pay somebody to do it?

We test ours last week, and we do it annually
We test our own with a commercial hose tester
We have out side testers once a year they come and the best part is they repack the hose lol
We test our own hose every year. We've got our own hose testing machine.
We test in house
My Wife, and she said it's working just fine, Thank you for asking
the paid staff and volunteers test the hose at my station
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!!! You're killin' me man!
Hose testing is the responsibility of each Brigade. We test our own each year. It's very little work for the Pumper as our local water pressure is almost highr than we want to use anyway!
Only you would answer a question that way...... Thats priceless Never a dull moment with you thats for sure
Someone had to say it LOL
Thanks Mike, I hate dull moments, I like to keep things hopping, if you know what I mean LOL
