I think whatever the end result of this is, we need to avoid the flashy cool logos. One of the best things about the IAFF logo that started the other thread is it's almost understated simplicity. A Maltese cross, an organizations initials and a short saying about professionalism. Done. It's doesn't show any arrogance like "I fight what you fear" or comedy routines like "Find 'em hot and leave 'em wet". It doesn't have cartoon characters like Snoopy or Popeye or Taz. All these designs have their place but they do not reflect what I see as the goal here, being proud of providing a free service to the community.
Alan, I agree. Non-flashy logos are my favorite and I would like to see some designs. This could be a cool contest.
So far, no one posted any logos. I am still looking forward to seeing some designs of a Volunteer Firefighter logo. Leave it to your imagination and photo editing / creation skills.
I shrunk it down from 1.82 mb to 177 kb, but no matter what I do, when i post it, it remains just as large, so added it as attachement so if you wanted a smaller one on storage you could copy it.
Thanx for trying, This is the window sticker we have on our vehicles. Our little district is only 8 sq. miles adout 30 min outside of nowhere. so not too many ppl see it except when on of us goes into town.
I am not all that good at graphics, but I will have to try and find one I designed and never used for another project. It was basically the firefighters scramble, but instead of a helmet in the center it was the head of a bald eagle. Then the whole thing was in a circle with an outer circle so that writing could go around it.
