This morning has already been a messed up one! DOA at 0630, the GI Bleed at 0830 the the freeky one at 1030! We get called out to a possible blood clot in the leg. When we get on scene its a hospice dementia patient. Husband tells us that she has a DNR in place. My step dad, the intermediate on the truck, and myself load her up and take her to the truck as the other partner is waiting to get the DNR. The husband tells him that it is in the safe and can not get it open. We explain to him that incase something happens we have to start CPR. We get to the er and as we are taking her to the room we happen to look on the nurse's station desk and guess what...THERE IS THE DAMN DNR. The pt had not been there since Oct. and no one knew where it came from. We couldnt believe it. IS that not scary or what!
