Had a fully involved stucture fire at 3 am new years day. Once one scene noticed that both entrances were blocked by a live powerline. How would you handle the situation?

Protect exposures and keep all firefighters and water away from the power lines until the power company cuts the power...then a defensive operation on the fire building if there's anything left.

Don't mess with downed power lines. As Philly says, it's not safe to use pike poles to move power lines. They're not designed for it, and even a little humidity in the air can make them electrically conductive.
