what would be best ?
question what would be best down here in south florida there has always been a debate on either going fire certification first or getting your medics as populations grow every day in South florida the need for more paramedics is obvious but, firefighting is eqaully as important but we dont really get many fires as a student which would be the best way to pursue your career as either going firefighter emt first or getting your medics then getting your firefighter cert im in emt school about to finish and start my medics what do think is the best route of going about in this field ?

For Florida...? Isn't that known as heavens waiting room.....?? LOL.... I would think EMS first then Fire....But for many it is just the opposite...many departments will hire Firefighters with the stipulation that within 1 year they have to get their EMT-B....Stay safe Keep the Faith....Paul
