We will be getting new smartphones soon and wondered what smartphone you recommend.

My husband is a fire fighter and I am a stay at home mom.

We do enjoy having the same phones, makes it easier in case we have to use the others one.

The Motorola Defy (MB 525) is what we used the last year.

It's a great phone that kept it promise to be waterproof. My husband was not able to drown it in sweat underneath bunker-gear during our record summer.

It also survived trips to the lake, being dropped in water and general abuse that comes with life.

But we would like to have something with a slightly bigger screen and a faster processor.

Android based would be our preference.

Does anyone know of any other rugged smartphones?
