Chief-white
Asst. Chief-white
Capt.-White
Lieus-white
Safety Officers-orange
RIT Officers-black w/ white shield
FF-black

Asst. chief- white
Captain- Yellow
ff- Red and safety officer- Red

Chief officers- white
captains- black
LT's - red
FF's- yellow

All others :Black ( Rank designated by unit number on helmet.)

Chiefs (any rank) White
Capt's & Lt's Black with White Front Piece
Heavy Equipment Operators Black with Black Front Piece
FFs & FF/PM Black with Black Front Piece
Cadets/Interns & Explorers Black with Black Front Piece but their turnouts are different
Certain public support people that help the dept are honorary members are given a Yellow helmet with Black Front Piece not for fire ground use.
We use the passport system so the Engine, Truck & Ambulance designators change colors as to type and rank on the unit.

BAT. CHIEFS AND UP ARE WHITE WITH RANK ON SHIELD AND SIDES.
CAPT. ARE RED
FF & FF/MEDIC ARE YELLOW

L.A. COUNTY FIRE, SO. CAL.
THE SAME EXCEPT CAPT. ARE ORANGE

L.A. CITY FIRE, SO. CAL.
SAME AS COUNTY EXCEPT PARAMEDICS WEAR BLUE.
