We wear what we're issued. Currently made by a New Zealand company, Pacific:


They work. The colour is strange in the photo, the helmet is yellow. And it's clean! The helmet torch is washed after a fire as well, but the moulding doesn't like to give up the crap even when I use a brush.
i use the carins 1044 pleather
Personally i use a cairns 880 new model i have had for 3 years. i was issued a bullard "salad Bowl" they work but i prefer the traditional helmets. I would really like to try one of the phoenix leather helmets, they look nice and the weight looks good.
