SEATTLE -- A woman who lived in her Magnolia home for 60 years has died after a faulty heater set the residence ablaze.

The Seattle Times reports the fire started early Thursday as 91-year-old Alice Goldworthy
slept.

Firefighters responded after neighbors reported flames shooting up from the roof.

They searched the home and found Goldsworthy's body in the bedroom.

A Seattle Fire Department investigation found the accidental fire was caused by a baseboard heater that ignited a couch in front of
it.

The victim's son, Guy Goldsworthy, says he had talked to his mother the night before and had planned to pick her up for Thanksgiving dinner.
