Fire officials are investigating a blaze that broke out over the weekend at the Benton County hazardous waste facility in Richland.

Richland Assistant Fire Marshal Jim Jordon says paints, solvents, propane tanks were stored at the facility but he doesn't think the fire was caused by spontaneous combustion.

No one was injured in the blaze.

The fire started Sunday night at the Benton County Household Hazardous Waste Facility at the Horn Rapids Landfill. Crews arrived to find the building engulfed in flames and contents inside exploding.
